CERTIFIED SAFE FACILITIES
The Certified Safe Facility program was launched by Equi-Health Canada and Equi-First Aid USA in October 2017. Facilities that are certified by EHC have met the following criteria:
1. They have hosted a sanctioned Equine Health and Emergency First Aid clinic and have staff or volunteers onsite with current first aid certification.
2. They have hosted a sanctioned Advanced Equine Emergency First Aid clinic and have staff or volunteers onsite with current advanced certification.
3. They have hosted a sanctioned Disaster Planning and Emergency Preparedness clinic and have staff or volunteers onsite with current certification.
4. They have an ongoing relationship with Equi-First Aid, remaining up-to-date on new health and emergency protocols, and host a minimum of 2 EFA sanctioned courses per year, with any currently certified Instructor.
Facilities who meet this criteria are awarded an annual CERTIFIED SAFE certificate to hang on their facility wall, and will have their facility listed here with website link and contact information at no charge.
If you have hosted the above three courses in the past year, please contact us to have your facility added to the Certified Safe listings.
